New Delhi. A 17‑year‑old boy was allegedly stabbed in the Trilokpuri locality of Mayur Vihar, reportedly as retaliation for a long‑standing rivalry. The police have logged an attempted‑murder case, seized two knives believed to be used in the attack, and are still searching for a fourth juvenile involved.

According to the Mayur Vihar police station, a distress call arrived at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday reporting that a teenager had been stabbed in the 30 Block area. Officers rushed to the scene, provided first aid, and transported the victim to LBS Hospital.

Because his injuries were serious, doctors referred him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for advanced care. As of the latest update, his condition has been stabilised.

The investigation uncovered that the victim and another juvenile had been at odds about 15 days earlier. Police allege that the victim, along with his companions, assaulted the other youngster during that earlier clash. The lingering animosity appears to have prompted the latter and his associates to ambush the teen with knives.

Three juveniles have been taken into custody and are currently being questioned. Meanwhile, police teams are conducting raids at suspected hideouts to locate the fourth suspect believed to have taken part in the stabbing. Further inquiries are ongoing to piece together the exact sequence of events and assign responsibility.
