Hyderabad. A murder case has been lodged after the lifeless body of 34‑year‑old bank employee B. Sirisha was recovered from a room at the Gokul Pride Hotel in SR Nagar.

Sirisha, a customer‑care executive from Nagasamudram, Vikarabad district, had checked into the hotel on 24 September accompanied by a man later identified as A. Srinivas. Both individuals used fictitious names and forged identity documents during the reservation process.

In the hotel’s logbook, the man recorded his name as “Ganesh,” while Sirisha’s entry appeared under the alias “Durga.” They were assigned room 10.

Srinivas departed the premises around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, informing staff that Sirisha would return after breakfast. When she failed to appear and did not answer her phone, hotel personnel grew suspicious and alerted the police.

Upon arrival, officers used a master key to enter the room and discovered Sirisha dead on the bed. Preliminary observations noted bruises and possible injuries consistent with an assault using a heavy or sharp object. A curtain rod retrieved from the room is being examined as a potential weapon. The definitive cause of death will be confirmed after the post‑mortem report.

Jubilee Hills DCP A. Ramana Reddy confirmed that the case has been registered under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Fingerprints and other forensic material have been collected, and the hotel’s CCTV footage is being scrutinised to trace Srinivas’s movements and piece together the timeline.

Special investigation teams have been assembled to locate the suspect. Authorities are also probing the discrepancy between the alias “Durga” in the hotel register and Sirisha’s actual name on official records.

Investigators are further looking into a prior alleged assault involving Sirisha’s husband to determine any possible link to the present case. Police continue to hunt for Srinivas while examining every lead.
