A tragic domestic dispute in Sadarpur

On a Sunday in the Sadarpur locality, which falls under the Madhuban Bapudham police area, 33‑year‑old Renu was discovered deceased following a violent confrontation with her spouse. Law enforcement has filed a case against the husband, Arun, who remains at large.

Renu’s origins and family life

Renu hailed from the village of Jalalpur in Aligarh’s Pisawa block. She had been married to Arun, a Sadarpur resident, for roughly fifteen years. The pair were parents to two sons, aged 12 and 9.

Relatives point to a history of abuse

According to members of Renu’s maternal family, Arun displayed a tendency toward physical aggression, especially after drinking. They contend that altercations were not new and that prior fights between the couple had occurred on several occasions.

The fatal escalation

The latest argument is said to have erupted on Sunday when another dispute broke out. The family claims the clash quickly turned physical. During the struggle, Arun allegedly placed a video call to Renu’s brother, Rahul Rathi, showing his sister’s injuries and urging him to come and retrieve her.

Brother’s hurried arrival

After receiving the disturbing call, Rahul, accompanied by other relatives, drove to Sadarpur. Upon reaching the house they found it locked, and neighbours informed them that Renu had already been taken to a medical facility.

Hospital confirmation

The family arrived at the Joint District Hospital in Sanjay Nagar, where doctors examined Renu and declared her dead. Preliminary findings indicated a severe head injury, allegedly inflicted by a heavy object.

Husband’s disappearance

Renu’s kin assert that members of Arun’s family left the hospital before they could get there. Following the death, Rahul filed a formal FIR naming Arun and several in‑laws as suspects.

Police response and search operation

DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed that investigators are actively tracking Arun’s whereabouts. The police have begun tracing his movements and said additional legal steps will follow once he is apprehended.
