New Delhi: Vidda, Hisense’s premium home‑cinema brand, has introduced its flagship Big Eye M2 Pro projector to the Chinese market. Tailored for both cinephiles and gamers, the unit combines a triple‑colour laser engine, a built‑in 360° gimbal, and a suite of high‑end specifications that promise a cinema‑grade experience without a permanent ceiling mount.

Pricing and Market Availability

The Big Eye M2 Pro is priced at 5,499 yuan in China, with a limited‑time promotional discount that reduces the effective cost to 4,949 yuan. Consumers can immediately order the sleek “Moonlight White” finish, while the “Space Silver” variant is currently available for pre‑order. No launch date or pricing details have been announced for India.

4K Projection and Light Output

At the heart of the projector sits a 0.47‑inch DMD imaging chip paired with Vidda’s proprietary QuaLas42 triple‑laser light source. Together they produce up to 1,800 CVIA lumens, bright enough to fill a well‑lit living room. The system supports HDR10+ and HLG, and its glass‑lens optics offer a 1.3× optical zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.0:1 to 1.3:1.

For a 100‑inch picture the projector should be placed roughly 2.2 m from the screen; a 150‑inch image can be achieved from about 3.3 m, depending on room geometry.

Gaming‑Optimised Performance

The M2 Pro is engineered with gamers in mind. It can display native 4K content at up to 60 Hz, while switching to 1080p unlocks a rapid 240 Hz refresh rate. An HDMI 2.1 connection, MediaTek MT9679 processor, and 3 GB of RAM enable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low‑Latency Mode (ALLM), delivering smooth gameplay on compatible consoles and PCs.

360° Motorised Gimbal Simplifies Installation

Unlike traditional projectors that rely on ceiling mounts or external brackets, the Big Eye M2 Pro features a motorised gimbal that pivots a full 360°. Users can tilt the device toward the ceiling, floor, or any angle, making it adaptable to a variety of room layouts and screen positions.

Additional automatic tools—autofocus, keystone correction, and screen‑alignment assistance—further streamline setup, allowing the projector to find the optimal picture with minimal effort.

Integrated Four‑Speaker Audio

Sound is delivered by a built‑in 20 W four‑speaker array, comprising two full‑range drivers and two tweeters. The audio system supports Dolby Audio and DTS:X, creating an immersive soundstage that complements the large‑format visuals.

India Launch Still Pending

At present, the Big Eye M2 Pro is available only in China. Vidda has not disclosed an official launch timeline or pricing for the Indian market. If the company decides to introduce the projector in India, localized details on price, availability, and configuration will be released in a separate announcement.
