Uttarakhand’s Talent Shines on the World Stage

WorldSkills is widely regarded as the premier global arena for skilled youth, where participants demonstrate technical mastery, creativity, and professional acumen across dozens of disciplines. The 2026 edition featured roughly 1,400 contestants competing in 64 skill categories.

Securing medals at such a prestigious event underscores the growing strength of Uttarakhand’s skill‑development ecosystem. Sania’s and Parth’s achievements not only contributed to India’s medal count but also placed the state firmly in the international spotlight.

From IndiaSkills to WorldSkills: The Pathway

The rigorous IndiaSkills 2025‑26 selection process laid the groundwork for the duo’s global triumph. The Uttarakhand Department of Skill Development and Employment, together with the Uttarakhand Skill Development Society (UKSDS), created a structured platform for young talent to compete at state, regional, and national levels.

Outstanding performers at each stage earned the right to advance, and both Sania and Parth emerged as the top contenders in their respective fields. Their consistent excellence earned them a coveted spot at WorldSkills 2026, where they continued their winning streak.

Impact on the State’s Skill Landscape

The silver medals captured by these Uttarakhand prodigies highlight the state’s commitment to nurturing skilled professionals and providing pathways to international exposure. Their success serves as an inspiration for aspiring youth across the region.
