Exam Date and Mode

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has officially announced that the Group‑B Nursing Officer selection exam will be conducted on 21 October 2026. The assessment will be a Computer‑Based Test (CBT) administered in the morning session, as outlined in the schedule released on 5 October.

Admit‑Card Publication

Hall tickets are expected to be uploaded on the PGIMER portal approximately on 14 October 2026. Aspirants should visit the official website pgimer.edu.in to download their admit cards.

Steps to Download the Admit Card

Log in with the same user ID and password used during the online application. Navigate to Students > Info for Candidates. Once the PDF becomes available, save it promptly and double‑check that all personal information is accurate.

Details Displayed on the Admit Card

The admit card will contain the candidate’s roll number, allotted examination centre with full address, reporting time, as well as gate‑opening and closing timings. Additional instructions regarding permissible items and conduct will also be listed. Candidates are urged to review these particulars carefully before traveling.

City Allocation Notification

Applicants who successfully completed the online registration will receive an email indicating the city of their assigned centre. While PGIMER endeavours to honour the city preference indicated at registration, the final allocation depends on seat availability, infrastructure and other logistical considerations, and may result in a centre outside the requested city or even in another state.

Policy on Centre Changes

Requests for changing the allotted centre will not be entertained. Candidates must accept the venue printed on their admit card and arrange travel only after confirming the final location.

Application Window Closure

The online application period closed on 3 October 2026. Those who submitted their forms can still view and download their applications from the recruitment portal until 11:55 pm on 6 October 2026. After this deadline the portal will be deactivated.
