Lucknow: Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has publicly refuted the alleged statements made by SP leader Om Prakash Singh about his lineage. In a fiery social‑media post, Rajbhar said he has been hearing Singh’s accusations for the past two days and, rather than being shocked, he feels sympathy for the opponent.

Rajbhar clarified that the remarks concerning his birth stem from the fact that he hails from the modest, backward Rajbhar community, not from a land‑owning or upper‑caste family. He affirmed that he has never regretted his roots; on the contrary, he takes pride in the grit and determination that his community instilled in him.

While he could easily retaliate with similar slurs, Rajbhar insists that his upbringing and values forbid him from insulting anyone’s parents. He paid his respects to Singh’s family, noting that the time, place, and caste of one’s birth are decreed by the Almighty, not by human choice.

A Direct Attack on the Samajwadi Party

The minister then turned his critique toward the Samajwadi Party itself, suggesting that Singh’s allegiance to the party is driven solely by the desire for an Assembly ticket. Rajbhar hinted that Singh’s willingness to ignore religious sentiment betrays a lack of faith, pointing out the party’s alleged disregard for Lord Ram, the Raghukul lineage, the Suryavansh dynasty, and Sanatan Dharma.

Rajbhar reiterated his commitment to serve the Rajbhar community, as well as other backward classes, Dalits, and the oppressed, stressing that he works without attachment to the outcome, merely fulfilling his duty.

He added a pointed remark for Singh: if the latter wants an SP ticket, he should take it, because “the public is watching everything,” and ultimately, the electorate will render the final verdict.

No Apology Expected

Rajbhar stated he does not demand an apology from Singh, nor does he seek one himself. However, he urged Singh to reflect on his own parents before making disparaging comments about anyone’s caste or birth.

Concluding his message, Rajbhar wrote, “May God bless him,” and signed off with “Jai Shri Ram.”p>
