Overview of the Recruitment Drive

The North Western Railway (NWR) has unveiled a fresh apprenticeship campaign for the financial year 2026‑27, offering a total of 2,008 training seats across its network. The official notice was issued on 1 October 2026, and the electronic portal will receive applications from 7 October 2026 up to 11:59 pm on 6 November 2026. All entries must be submitted online; hard‑copy forms are not accepted.

Seat Distribution by Division

The vacancies are allocated among the following NWR divisions:

  • Jaipur division: 580 positions
  • Bikaner division: 524 positions
  • Ajmer division: 500 positions
  • Jodhpur division: 134 positions

Additional openings are available at specific workshops:

  • 101 posts at BTC Carriage, Ajmer
  • 69 posts at BTC Loco, Ajmer
  • 33 posts at Carriage Workshop, Bikaner
  • 67 posts at Carriage Workshop, Jodhpur

Trade Categories Offered

Successful candidates will be trained in one of these technical streams:

  • Fitter
  • Electrician
  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Welder
  • Carpenter
  • Electronics Mechanic
  • Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)

Applicants must select a single railway unit while filling the form; multiple unit selections are not permitted.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must satisfy the following conditions to be considered:

  • Pass Class 10 from a recognized board with at least 50 % marks.
  • Hold a valid National Trade Certificate (NCVT or SCVT) in the chosen trade.
  • Be aged between 15 and 24 years as on 6 November 2026.

Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms:

  • SC/ST – up to 5 years additional.
  • OBC – up to 3 years additional.
  • Persons with benchmark disabilities – up to 10 years additional.

Selection Procedure – No Written Examination

The recruitment does not involve a written test. A merit list will be generated by taking the simple average of the percentages secured in Class 10 and the ITI qualification. In case of identical averages, the older applicant will be given priority.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification followed by a medical examination before final confirmation.

Application Fee Details

General‑category aspirants are required to pay an online fee of ₹ 100. The fee is exempted for SC, ST, PwBD candidates and for every female applicant. After payment, the application cannot be edited.

Prospective candidates should visit the official NWR recruitment site at rrcjaipur.in and complete the online form. Required inputs include personal details, Aadhaar number, Class 10 marks, and trade‑specific qualifications. All supporting documents must be uploaded before submission.

Only one application per candidate per railway unit is allowed; duplicate entries may result in cancellation of the candidature.

Deadline is firm: 11:59 pm on 6 November 2026. Candidates are strongly advised to finalize their submission well before the cut‑off to avoid technical issues.
