Fatal Accident in Parsokha Village

On Thursday evening, four‑year‑old Ansh Chaudhary was playing close to his house in the hamlet of Parsokha, which falls under the Kotwali police beat of Maihar district, Madhya Pradesh. He approached the rim of an uncovered septic tank that still contained water and, without warning, fell in.

Immediate Rescue Efforts

Nearby residents and family members quickly gathered, pulled the child from the tank and rushed him to the nearest medical facility. Despite urgent care, doctors were unable to revive Ansh, and he was declared dead, leaving his relatives in deep sorrow and the community stunned.

“We never imagined something like this could happen in our quiet village,” a neighbour said.

Police Probe Initiated

The Kotwali police arrived on the scene and registered a case of accidental death. Investigators are examining why the septic tank was left open and whether any protective barriers existed. The inquiry seeks to identify any negligence that may have contributed to the tragedy.

Demand for Safer Neighborhood Infrastructure

This sorrowful event has revived concerns over exposed septic tanks and open pits in residential zones. Locals are calling on authorities to ensure that such hazards are properly sealed, especially in areas frequented by children. The investigation continues as the community looks for answers and preventative steps.
